I remember getting in trouble more for the doodles on my failed papers than the failed papers themselves. Thats when I knew I would be a designer.
Growing up in northern California in a small town just outside of San Luis Obispo. Design consisted of wine labels and few billboards and design was something simple. Design was something that stuck out to me as natural and obedient to the mind. For me, that time was all about fine art. Throwing on my pottery wheel, painting and screen printing were high school hobbies that eventually turned to careers and college consisted of much of the same though my major was psychology with a minor in philosophy I still had a passion for design.
With a spontaneous move to southern California and an aspiration to design I began my journey at AiOC-Orange County graduating in graphic design. Design intrigues me like nothing else ever could. So much so that I spend most of nights studying design, browsing blogs and reading about type and whatever else I can get my hands on. I am a self proclaimed insomniac with a drive and hunger for great work. You can always find me hovering over a computer or a sketchbook getting ideas out and spilling them on paper like a paint bucket out of a window, and oh yea, I enjoy metaphor.
