Given our enthusiasm for new boundary-pushing technologies, we were excited to create an identity for a high-tech start-up company. Conceiving a name that was memorable, descriptive of the product, and available as a domain name was our first task. We designed the Paperlit mark to be iconic and immediately recognizable, even at the small size demanded by mobile platforms, while retaining an approachable quality that reflects the service’s ease of use. The website’s clean, minimal look is softened by hand-drawn spot illustrations that explain the service in a simple, engaging way.
The Paperlit launch was wildly succcessful, and with high-profile clients including Vogue and La Repubblica, Italy’s second largest newspaper, the service boasts 90,000 dowloads and counting.
