Simply great and excellent logo ! Concept is clear, innovative and creative to its extreme ! ![]()
I can see the same qualities “Book Cover” said before, but I have something more to say: it’s also obvious like hell.
Unfortunatelly, it could ruin a logo.
But it’s great the same. Congratz!
Unless WML is about erotic literature, the logo is sexist and offensive. I have yet to see a logo about men with a phallus.
I agree with the previous poster, the logo is sexist and offensive. Do women write or think using their genitals?
You two got a point. Although it’s actually creative and clear, it’s kind of sexist. I just don’t think it has to be offensive all the same. They could be a little more sutile…
The concept is elegant, respectful and effective.
To the other commentators, this work is about as sexist as the name Barbara. Sure, you know it’s a woman’s name, but it doesn’t evoke a sense of rage or any kind of misogynist message.
The only thing offensive in this logo is the horrendous typography. Can we say kerning?
How is the logo sexist? That region of a woman is the most obvious indication of gender next to breasts and I hardly think the creator was suggesting that this is the only respectable part of women- I think perhaps he just found the similarity in shape expressive.
I find it to be subtle- someone who wasn’t looking for the woman’s hips wouldn’t see them right off.
Am I the only one who finds this hilarious?
This logo made me slightly uncomfortable, and I’m not even a woman. This seems to be a product of “pen” and “vagina” being plotted in the morphological matrix.
Really Conceptual Work..
Controvertial but interesting.
I know the vagina and pen is a good idea “visually” but overall it still a bit “sexist” and not “literature” to me.
I Think the logo is a co-incident. Good work by the designer, moreover its in the mind. According to me the only difference that actually makes is the word ‘women’ on the cover.
i think it is about erotic literature..
